Context & Challenge:
Girl About Social hosted a variety of virtual workshops during lockdown but decided in February 2022 that it was time to take the fun offline and into her local community with a new, in-person event.
Girl About Social wanted to inspire and educate guests about social media and empower them to use it more effectively in their businesses so hosted her first in-person social media masterclass for local business owners in the Northampton area.
She wanted to teach her guests how to create content for their own Instagram feeds in a fun and relaxed setting, while also facilitating connection and networking amongst guests.
The Approach:
Girl About Social set about choosing a venue and a vibe that reflected their personality and values. Instead of choosing a boring, bleak meeting room, Karina chose an Insta-worthy coffee and cocktail lounge in Northampton filled with to-die-for charcuterie, cheese boards, espresso martinis and Bellinis!

The Results:
Karina was completely blown away by the feedback she received. Beyond selling out all 21 spots for the event, She was over the moon to hear the positive impact that the event had on their guests’ confidence with social media and beyond.
Many fabulous reels and new friendships were made by inspiring female-owned SMEs, and the incredible success of the event has led Girl About Social to make the event a regular in-person series where people can come together every month and take part in a fun new activity that supports a local business in the area.
This new monthly creative workshop brand is called The Supper Club
